    MY EXPERIENCE

I have normal/dry lips. But in hot weather it gets quite dry, especially since I always in an airconditioned environment.I have tried a lot types of lip balm, you name it, petroleum jelly, loreal, lip ice , lip balms of various types but none has ever moisturized my lips properly or long enough.

Bought it as it was very cheap and wowww, it works perfectly to moisturize my lips. So honestly it is the best lip moisturizer I have ever tried. It not only moisturizes, but makes it look healthy and with no cracks, giving that natural moisturized look. If you wear it regularly I find that my lips look amazing. If I get lazy and stop applying it, my lips will become super dry, and I need to apply it many times continuously for the first fifteen minutes or so , rubbing it gently and it will peel off the cracked layer (as you rub it continuously) and a beautiful fresh surface of lips will come up!

This is a really great lip treatment at a very affordable price and it's become one of those good product for me.  As someone with very dry lips, I've found that most lip balms are really just a temporary, good at providing a bit of temporary lubrication. Lucas Papaw is different - with sustained and consistence use, it actually improves the condition of your lips. So not only is it moisturizing but it's also nourishing. Plus there's the fact that it's not a fussy product nor is it crazy expensive - not everything has to be luxe, you know? Especially not for lip balm.

Aesthetically, this product is also a win. It has a really beautiful finish to it. I'm not a lip gloss person but this is the perfect non gloss gloss. It makes your lips look full and slightly swollen(like kylie jenner) lol It's also a great pre-lipstick primer (just slick it on while you're doing your skincare routine and wow perfectly moisturize lips ten minutes later).

Weakness: this can potentially clog up the pores around the mouth because it is a very thick, emollient balm. Personally, it's not a problem for me and I don't find it unpleasant or overly greasy in texture. But if your skin is easily congested around that area, be mindful about not rubbing your hands around your mouth and spreading it all over your chin and upper lip area.

One last thing - be aware that the formula contains petroleum jelly as well as the fermented papaw fruit so it's not totally organic if that's something you really care about. Personally, I think it's worthwhile noting that petroleum jelly is unmatched as an occlusive (i.e it acts as a barrier, sealing in moisture and protecting your skin from the elements). If you have chapped lips, it's essential to use a balm which is occlusive and not just hydrating/emollient. Petroleum jelly works perfectly for that purpose so I have zero issues with its inclusion as an ingredient.

    HOW TO USE

Anyone who is only using Lucas’ Papaw Ointment for their dry lips is seriously missing out! It can do way more for you than just soothe chapped lips. Here are all the weird and wonderful ways you can use your little red tube.

    1. Eye shadow primer: The consistency of the ointment is quite thick, so you only need a small amount. Spread over your lid and allow to settle a bit. Then you can use a translucent powder over the top to allow your shadows to blend easier.
    2.  Face mask: For anyone who has dry skin, this will save your life (and bank account). You can apply the ointment to dry patches of your face after exfoliating to re-hydrate and rejuvenate. It’s also a cheaper alternative to expensive skin care and treatments.
    3. Sting soother: This ointment can be a life saver if you are prone to mosquito bites. It’s both soothing and hydrating, so you won’t have any dry patches from scratching!
    4. Nappy rash: Yes, even our little ones can benefit from Papaw. It is perfect for nappy rash as it’s both soothing and cooling.Highlighter: Yes, that’s right. This ointment is perfect for achieving that dewy, glowy natural skin look. All you need is a small amount tapped into your cheekbones, centre of the forehead, chin, nose and temples. You will be a glowing goddess in no time (we promise)! You can apply more to these areas to achieve the strobing effect as well.
    5. Dry ends fix: If the ends of your hair are dry and split, apply a small amount to temporarily seal and give a smooth finish.
    6. Sunburn: Papaw can help to heal sunburn skin and soothe the sting.
    7. Eczema: The ointment can work wonders for soothing the telltale eczema itch.
    8. Under eye rejuvenation: If you suffer from dry, tired looking under eyes then look no further. Apply the ointment after cleansing.
    9. Treat your feet: You’ve probably read about the benefits of applying moisturiser nightly to your feet to keep them baby soft. Good old Lucas works just as well! Pop on some cotton socks, clock up your beauty sleep and voila! Deliciously soft tootsies.
    10. Cuticle oil: Yup, just rub in some Papaw ointment onto your cuticles to keep them nourished and make them more manageable.. Rub it in after applying hand cream, or if you’re doing DIY, coat your cuticles in the stuff before pushing them back.
    11. Brow gel: Apply a bit of Lucas to a clean mascara wand and brush onto your brows to keep them groomed and in place. Easy!
    12. Unexpected makeup: You can apply to your eyelids for a sexy, glossy look. Or dab over a matte lipstick to oomph up the finish. You can even apply them to your lashes after curling them for a natural lift and instant volume.
    13. Barrier Cream: If you’ve run out of gloves, coat your hands in the stuff and apply your fake tan; the ointment will act like a barrier cream.
    14. Skin protection : If you dye your hair at home then you will know the pain of staining your skin all too well. Spread a light layer of Papaw ointment around your hairline. That way, if any hair dye gets onto your skin, it won’t stain and will easily rub off.
